TypeBench is a font manager for people who work with type all day. It indexes the folders you already have - on your Mac, on an external drive, on a mounted share - and leaves every file exactly where it is.

TypeBench watches the folders you choose and builds its own index next to them. It never copies fonts into a library of its own, never moves them and never rewrites them. The app ships with a read-only file entitlement, so it cannot modify your font files even by accident. Reorganize a folder and the library follows.

Activate What You Need

Activation is system-wide through CoreText: an activated family shows up in every app that lists fonts. Deactivate and the font menu becomes readable again. The state survives quitting the app and restarting the Mac, and is reconciled at launch.

Nothing Leaves Your Mac

No account, no cloud, no telemetry and no network access at all: the sandbox carries no network entitlement, so nothing can be transmitted even in principle. Your font list is nobody else's business.
